The basic $84,000 Unimog looks like a pickup crossed with a tank and a school bully. DaimlerChrysler, which plans to take U.S. orders this fall, put out a trash-talking brochure that called other 4x4s "cute." Bruce Barnes, marketing manager, says, "Moms will want to take it to the grocery store. It's a head-turning vehicle."
