Community Based Transition Partnership
Planning Grants (ACL)
Scope: The Administration for Community Living
seeks applications for the Community Based Transition
Partnership Planning Grants announcement to convene
partnerships in states to develop plans for community
integration, through the creation of sustainable
community-based transition pilots, for youth and adults
with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Deadline: Letters of Intent, May 30, 2020; proposals,
June 29, 2020.
Funds: $1 million total for up to 10 awards of up to
$100,000.
Eligibility: Administration on Disabilities grantees that
are designated as University Centers for Excellence in
Developmental Disabilities.
Areas: ACL said key activities for the planning grants
include but are not limited to establishing a partnership
to develop the plan for the community-based transition
pilot; using a formative and consensus-based
process to establish a community-based plan; and
conducting a comprehensive review and analysis of the
transition services in the state as a basis to inform the
development of the plan.

New Informatics Tools and Methods to Enhance
U.S. Cancer Surveillance Research (NCI)
Scope: The National Cancer Institute seeks (U01)
research project cooperative agreement applications
for the New Informatics Tools and Methods to Enhance
U.S. Cancer Surveillance Research announcement
to advance surveillance science by supporting the
development of new and innovative tools and methods
for more efficient, detailed, timely and accurate data
collection by cancer registries.
Deadline: Letters of Intent are due 30 days prior to the
application due date. Proposals are due Nov. 18, 2020;
June 6, 2021; and Nov. 18, 2021.
Funds: The number of awards depends on
appropriations and the submission of a sufficient
number of quality applications. The maximum project
period is ve years.
Eligibility: Colleges and universities; for-prot
organizations, including small businesses; nonprot
organizations; and state, local, special district and Native
American tribal governments; among others.
Areas: NCI said the scientic scope of this
announcement includes but is not limited to:
development, validation and evaluation of scalable tools/
methods to facilitate automatic/unsupervised extraction
and consolidation of specic data from various types of
unstructured medical records; and supplementation of
cancer registries with new or more detailed data items
from existing data sources or from linkages with novel
data sources (e.g., electronic medical records).
