Susan B. Waters assumed her role as CalCPA executive director July 1. She most recently served as executive director of the 18,000-member Massachusetts Bar Association where she directed a successful effort to revamp the association's governance structure.

Her seven-year stint with the bar association also included the formation of a subsidiary for profit insurance agency for professional liability and other lines of insurance.
