Networking and More Networking at the ABA Marketing Conference, Sept. 22-24

Have a marketing problem? Sometimes a solution can be found by talking with other bank marketers who have dealt with similar challenges. One way to meet marketers from around the country is to participate in networking activities at the annual ABA Marketing Conference.

Here's the line-up of networking opportunities at this year's conference, Sept. 22-24, which is being held at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel, Miami Beach, Fla.:

* The "Money-Making, Money-Saving Marketing Ideas" workshop on Sunday afternoon, Sept. 22, offers opportunities to share your successes and hear the same from others. This session alone is considered worth the trip and is back this year by popular demand!

* Every visit to the Marketplace, for breaks and luncheons, becomes a networking experience where you meet and eat with your peers as well as attend mini-learning sessions to find out more about new products and services.

* If you choose, you may spend the evenings in the company of others at receptions--like the one in which you'll learn to juggle. There's also an organized dine-around and a get-together with ABA Marketing Network members and

ABA School of Bank Marketing & Management alumni (open to everyone).

* If you can remain through Tuesday afternoon, you will want to join your colleagues on a leisurely cruise on the Miami River Mansion Tour.

Perhaps you will agree with Donna Kimes, vice president marketing at Farmers and Merchants Bank in Stuttgart, Ariz., when she said of last year's conference, "The sessions were useful but the networking was invaluable."
