Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has again demonstrated that he knows U.S. politics better than most U.S. politicians. In addressing Congress for the second time, he addressed a packed audience, started with a two minute ovation, and got a reported two dozen standing ovations during his speech.

His expertise comes naturally: substantially educated in the U.S. through university level, speaking flawless English, Netanyahu was DCM at the Israeli Embassy in Washington for two years.

And, he proved again that he is not a Labor prime minister of the 2000 Camp David era of negotiations, but rather a nationalistic, right of center (at best) politician with strong potential critics on his right.
