3290 2003 Transportation Security Administration: Innovative Technologies i n Maritime Security Conference & Exhibition

The Transportation Security Administration, in cooperation with the National Defense Industrial Association, is proud to announce its first "Innovative Technologies in Maritime Security" conference. See and discuss developing technologies as they pertain to the new challenges in the world of maritime security. The conference's main objective is to bring together the developers of new security technologies with people in the field, struggling to find cost-effective, newly emerging security solutions. Representatives from all federal agencies working in maritime security will attend.

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is redefining business processes with an infusion of innovation and technology to meet the nation's requirements to safeguard our ports and waterways. TSA will invite innovative solutions from vendors as well as present panel discussions on the many challenges faced in Maritime Homeland Security.

3400 8th Annual Joint Services Pollution Prevention & Hazardous Waste Management Conference & Exhibition

This conference provides an open forum for exchanging ideas, success stories, case histories and technologies related to pollution prevention and hazardous waste management. Through open communication, this conference seeks to unite state and federal government, academia, and industry in a combined effort to implement essential pollution prevention/hazardous waste management objectives by all. This year's conference is co-hosted by the Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Port Hueneme, Calif. and Headquarters, Air Force Center for Environmental Excellence, Brooks City-Base, Texas.

3010 Technical Information Division Annual Symposium

This year's NDIA Technical Information Division symposium is about Creating Competitive Edge: Integrating and Measuring Maturity of Processes. Over the course of two days, symposium participants will explore how the disciplined management of technical information makes the measurement and integration of processes a reality, and how configuration management, data management, and engineering drawing practices make competitive excellence real by reducing costs, eliminating rework and creating consistencies.

This two-day event will feature a keynote speaker, an expert panel with a town hall style question and answer period and three concurrent track sessions.

If you're in the military or work for the Defense Department and are involved in the development of standards, or work for a company that uses military standards, then you need to attend this symposium.

A Configuration and Data Management Training Course and certification examination will be offered in conjunction with the conference.

302D Defense Systems Acquisition Management Course

The Defense Systems Acquisition Management Course meets the needs of defense industry acquisition managers in today's dynamic environment, providing the latest information related to acquisition policy; reform initiatives, procedures and processes. Taught by the Defense Systems Management College (DSMC), the course uses the same acquisition policy information provided to Defense Department students who attend DSMC courses for formal acquisition certification. Students are industry program managers, assistant program managers, systems engineers, industry personnel serving on DoD Integrated Product Teams and other personnel that must interface with DoD program offices involved in program development and execution.

The Defense Supply Center Columbus (DSCC) will host a conference entitled "Transforming the DSCC/Supplier Relationship." This theme reflects the strategic transition underway at DSCC to be even more responsive in meeting their military customers' requirements through enhanced relations with their valued suppliers. This conference will provide a format for the exchange of information between DSCC functional area staff and industry, which will ultimately lead to improved business practices and will improve the quality and delivery of goods and services.

3500 Mines, Demolition & Non-lethal Conference & Exhibition

NDIA will team with the U.S. Army Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC) to produce the 2003 Mines, Demolition and Non-Lethal Conference and Exhibition. The Army's evolving requirements demand flexibility of response, greater situational awareness and continuing compliance with international agreements. Industry and the international community will have the opportunity to interact with government officials and present solutions and discuss technological innovations and research projects.

3310 Interagency Homeland Air Security (IHAS) National Capitol Region Demonstration Industry Day

The Joint Theater Air and Missile Defense Organization (JTAMDO) is hosting an Industry Day to present Interagency requirements in support of Homeland Air Security operations. This event will consist of briefings and panel discussions soliciting industry responses in homeland security areas: correlators, intelligence sharing, decision aids, communications and interagency seams. Industry will be offered the opportunity after the conference to submit concept papers to these needs for JTAMDO review and evaluation. This conference will be classified Secret at the U.S. only level.

3240 Joint Undersea Warfare Technology Fall Conference (Clambake)

This Conference is Classified at the Secret U.S. only level.

Both Government and Industry will find the benefits of this year's Undersea Warfare Technology Conference vastly rewarding. The conference features a day and a half-long plenary session led by senior key naval officials and one day of technical sessions, with topic areas focusing on undersea sensors and vehicles, aviation USW, and C4I and combat systems.

3620 Combat Vehicles Conference "Post-War Transformation"

Our nation's ground forces have been hard at work over the past year.

The lessons learned from the 'shock and awe' in the desert of Iraq will have a profound effect on the way the Army and the Marine Corps continue their tailoring of 21st century warfighting. One thing is sure--transformation of our ground forces will take on an ever increasing pace, as we sift through the aftermath of Iraqi Freedom. The theme of this year's conference is "Post-War Transformation," with presentation themes to include: "Post War Challenge" and "Objective Force Update," as well as a view from Congress. Panels will address the Iraqi war, USMC program updates, and a "TACOM Community Assessment."

The conference will conclude with a panel of past senior leaders providing a frank assessment of Army and Marine Corps transformation initiatives. As always, the conference will provide ample opportunity for key transformation issues to be dealt with head on.
