NDIA Honors Ferguson Award Recipients.

* The CREATE software portfolio development group and Kristen Baldwin, acting deputy assistant secretary of defense for systems engineering, are the 2017 recipients of the Lt. Gen. Thomas R. Ferguson Jr. Systems Engineering Excellence Award. They received the awards in October at the 20th annual Systems Engineering Conference in Springfield, Virginia, sponsored by the National Defense Industrial Association.

CREATE, or the Computational Research and Engineering Acquisition Tools and Environments, was recognized for its "determined pursuit of a vision" that will lead to fundamental changes in defense acquisition via high-performance computing and multidisciplinary, physicsbased software.
