Feral Swine Eradication and Control Pilot
Program (USDA)
Scope: The Agriculture Department’s Natural Resources
Conservation Service seeks applications for the Feral
Swine Eradication and Control Pilot Program to trap and
remove the animals where they have been determined
to be a threat.
Deadline: Nov. 5, 2020.
Funds: A total of up to $17 million with a ceiling for a
single award is $1.5 million. Awardees will be required to
provide at least a 25% match of the total project costs.
Eligibility: Applicants must carry out activities as part
of these pilot projects in Alabama, Hawaii, Mississippi,
Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina and
Tex a s.
Areas: USDA said activities may include but are not
limited to outreach, training, equipment and operations
for feral swine trapping that are consistent with
Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service technical
standards. Subsequent actions, including disposal, are
the responsibility of those carrying out the trapping
activities, and must occur consistent with all associated
federal, state and local laws.

Incubator Program for New Cancer Sites (NCI)
Scope: The National Cancer Institute seeks (U01)
research project cooperative agreement applications
for the Cancer Intervention and Surveillance Modeling
Network (CISNET) Incubator Program for New Cancer
Sites announcement for collaborative research projects
each with two to three independent modeling groups
that will comprise a new incubator program within
CISNET.
Deadline: Letters of Intent are due 30 days prior to the
application due date; proposals are due Jan. 20, 2021.
Funds: $4 million total in FY2021 for up to four awards.
The maximum project period is ve years.
Eligibility: Colleges and universities; for-prot
organizations, including small businesses; nonprot
organizations; and state, local, special district and Native
American tribal governments; among others.
Areas: NCI said in the rst year targeted priority areas
may focus on model development and renement,
while the later years would transition over to developing

Drug Development Collaboratory (NCATS)
Scope: The National Center for Advancing Translational
Sciences seeks (UG3/UH3) exploratory/developmental
phased award cooperative agreement applications for
the Drug Development Collaboratory announcement to
support intramural-extramural collaborations on late-
stage translational science projects between NCATS
Therapeutic Development Branch and extramural
researchers, for therapeutic development of small
molecules, biologics or gene therapies.
Deadline: Letters of Intent, Jan. 9, 2021; proposals, Feb.
9, 2021; June 9, 2021; and Feb. 9, 2022.
Funds: The number of awards depends on
appropriations and the submission of a sufficient number
of quality applications. The project period is limited to
three years for the UG3 phase and four years for the
UH3 phase. The maximum project period is seven years.
Eligibility: Colleges and universities; for-prot
organizations, including small businesses; nonprot
organizations; and state, local, special district and Native
American tribal governments; among others.
Areas: NCATS said key priorities for this announcement
are: projects with the potential to address systemwide
bottlenecks in the translational science research
process; projects that use or seek to develop broader
platform technologies that could subsequently be
applied to benet other disease areas; drug repurposing
or repositioning studies; and projects testing novel
drug-delivery strategies and testing optimal formulation
strategies of commercially available assets that have
been publicly posted on open-innovation websites;
among others.
