PositionBiography

Kent Smetters is a Research Associate in the NBER's Programs on Public Economics and Aging and an associate professor at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He received his Ph.D. in economics in 1995 from Harvard University, and then worked for the U.S. Congress from 1995-8 before coming to the University in Pennsylvania as an assistant professor. He was also the Kaiser Visiting Professor of Economics at Stanford University during the 2000-1 academic year.
