Jordi Gali is a Research Associate in the NBER's Program on Economic Fluctuations and Growth and the Program on Monetary Economics. He is also a Senior Researcher and Director of the Center for Research on International Economics (CREI) at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona).

Gali earned his Ph.D. in Economics at MIT in 1989 and has been a Professor of Economics at New York University and, prior to that, an Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Business at Columbia University.
