Time Domain Corp., of Huntsville, Ala.; CACI International, of Arlington, VA, and CYTEC Corp., of West Paterson, N.J., are developing a prototype radio that would provide the exact position and condition of stored ammunition and monitor leakage of ozone-depleting substances from the munitions.

This automatic identification system is called Geotrack, said Ken Johnson, CACI's president of U.S. operations. Using Time Domain's ultra wideband PulsOn technology, it relies on a highly integrated communications and sensor tag on monitored ammunition, Johnson said.
