Arctic Slope Regional Corp., Sealaska Corp. and Doyon Ltd. recently formed a joint venture with AT&T Wireless to form Alaska Native Wireless LLC. Alaska Native Wireless was the winning bidder in a Federal Communications Commission auction for new wireless licenses spanning 43 markets and 71 million individuals. The consortium bid $2.9 billion on the licenses, which includes coverage areas of New York City, Los Angeles, Denver, Tampa, Cleveland, Jacksonville, Minneapolis, New Haven and Portland.
