The region includes the District of Columbia and all land areas within the boundaries of Montgomery and Prince George's Counties in Maryland and T206692.047

The National Capital Planning Commission was established as a park planning agency by act of June 6, 1924, as amended (40 U.S.C. 71 et seq.).
