2024 NATIONAL AGING

AND LAW CONFERENCE

We were pleased to hold this year’s

conference in beautiful Coral Gables, FL at

the University of Miami School of Law.

The theme of the 2024 National Aging

and Law Conference was “The Future of

Aging”, which encompassed innovations

in the prevention of elder abuse and

financial fraud; providing legal services to

vulnerable and unhoused elders in our

communities; advocating for the rights

and protections for all adults in

guardianships; and making sure that our

clients’ voices are heard, loud and clear,

and protecting the rights and dignity of

adults as they age.

The agenda consisted of four plenary

sessions and 18 workshops,

with a mix of sessions on elder abuse,

guardianship reform, long-term care,

legal ethics, capacity, health care

decision-making, and elder law. The

presenters were an amazing group of

proven experts and emerging voices on

substantive issues, policy and program

development and legal service delivery.
