Nashville chapter supports University of Tennessee scholarship.

Out of sadness can come some wonderful things, and that is precisely what happened this fall when members of the tax community in Nashville joined together to fund a scholarship in memory of Casey Adams, a 23-year old graduate of the University of Tennessee's Masters of Accounting program, who died unexpectedly earlier this year.

Casey, who had begun her career in the Nashville office of Ernst & Young, was the daughter of Donna Adams, Senior Director Tax Services & Compliance at Genesco and a founding member of the Nashville TEI chapter. Following Casey's death, members of the Nashville Chapter, joined together with the Big 4 accounting firms and the University of Tennessee in establishing a scholarship in her honor to the university's Master of Accountancy program.
