* Pascal Desroches (New York City Chapter) was promoted to Senior Vice President and Controller for Time Warner Inc. Time Warner is a leading media and entertainment company. Desroches also serves on FEI's Committee on Corporate Reporting (CCR).

* Joseph G. DiLorenzo (Boston Chapter) has joined Plymouth Rock Studios as a Managing Officer. Plymouth Rock is a proposed film and television production campus that is seeking commitment for development in Plymouth, Mass. DiLorenzo currently serves as FEI's Vice Chair and is a Member of the Office of the Chair.

* Kenneth R. Elston (Detroit Chapter) was named CFO of Altair Engineering Inc. in Troy, Mich. Altair is a global provider of technology that empowers client innovation and decision-making that optimizes the analysis, management and visualization of business and engineering information.

* Christine M. Gorjnac (Silicon Valley Chapter) was promoted to CFO of Netgear Inc. Santa Clara, Calif.-based Netgear is a worldwide provider of technologically advanced, branded networking solutions that address the specific needs of small and medium business and home users.

* Garrett R. Hegel (Birmingham Chapter) was promoted from CFO to CEO and President of Compass Bancshares Inc. in Birmingham, Ala. Compass Bancshares, a Sunbelt-based financial institution that operates full-service banking centers, is a wholly owned subsidiary of BBVA.

* A.G. (Al) Jameson (Toronto Chapter) was elected as Chair of the National Board of Directors of the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB). Jameson's professional background includes a distinguished 34-year career with IBM Canada in various finance positions until his retirement in 1987.
