* Rick Allen (Colorado Chapter) was named to the Board of Directors of HireRight. Allen was previously CFO and Executive Vice President of J.D. Edwards, where he also served as a member of the board. When J.D. Edwards merged with PeopleSoft in 2004, Allen retired.

* Mattias Engberg (Los Angeles Chapter) has transferred from Director of Business Analysis for Dole Food Co. to Vice President of Strategic Planning for Dole Latin America and will be based in Miami. Dole is the world's largest producer and marketer of high-quality fresh fruit, vegtables and fresh-cut flowers.

* Stephen Giusto (Orange County Chapter) joined Korn/Ferry International as Executive Vice President and CFO. Korn/Ferry International is a global provider of talent management solutions. Giusto will be based in its Los Angeles headquarters.

* Ken Goldman (Silicon Valley Chapter) was named CFO of Fortinet, a Sunnyvale, Calif.-based pioneer and provider of ASIC-accelerated unified threat management (UTM) security systems.

* Martin J. Howard (Boston Chapter) was promoted to Treasurer and Vice President for Financial Affairs for Boston University in Boston. The fourth-largest independent university in the U.S., BU is an internationally recognized institution of higher education and research, with more than 31,000 students.

Joshua Grady was named Vice President of Finance and Controller for World-Winner, a subsidiary of FUN Technologies Inc. WorldWinner is a provider of online game competitions for cash and prizes that is based in Newton, Mass.

* A.G. (Al) Jameson (Toronto Chapter) was elected as Chair of the National Board of Directors. Jameson's professional background includes a distinguished 34-year career with IBM Canada in various finance positions until his 1987 retirement.
