* WILLIAM BRASSINGTON, CPA (New York City Chapter), was among those honored by the Philadelphia Business Journal in its annual 40 Under 40 Awards Program. Brassington is CFO of the Drug Information Association Inc. in New York.

* FRANK H. BROD, CPA (Detroit Chapter), was named Chief Accounting Officer for Redmond, Wash.-based Microsoft Corp., the worldwide leader in software, services and solutions for people and businesses. Brod is a former chair of FEI's Committee on Corporate Reporting.

* DR. THOM G. EVANS (Central Florida Chapter) has received the prestigious Lawler Literary Award for his ARTICLE, coauthored with Stan Atkins, "Hedge Fund Investing," in the Journal of Accountancy. The ARTICLE was selected as JOA's best ARTICLE in 2005. Evans is a professor in the Dixon School of Accounting at the University of Central Florida.
