David J. Barra was named CFO of Ullico Inc. in Washington, D.C. Ullico is an insurance and financial services holiding company.

* Dawn Butler (Southwestern Ontario Chapter) was promoted to Senior Vice President for Highstreet Asset Management Inc. Highstreet is a London, Ontario-based investment counsel that serves families, foundations, pension plans and corporate investors. It also provides investment management services through sub-advisory relationships and structured products.

* Quentin Falconer (San Francisco Bay Area Chapter) was selected by SVB Silicon Valley Bank, Santa Clara, Calif., to lead its business development efforts for the clean tech industry. Falconer has been providing commercial banking, investment management and global treasury services for emerging and mid-stage technology companies on behalf of SVB Silicon Valley Bank.

* Lisa McAlister (Boston and New York Chapters) has joined giant financial services firm Merrill Lynch & Co. in New York City as CFO of Global Private Equity. McAlister is an Area Director at Large for FEI National and a Past President of the Boston Chapter.

* John C. Ferrara (Connecticut/Westchester Chapter) has joined Edgar Online Inc. as CFO. Norwalk, Conn.-based Edgar Online is a provider of value-added business and financial information on global companies that provides information and analysis tools via online subscriptions and licensing agreements.

* Ken Goldman (Silicon Valley Chapter) was appointed to the Board of Directors of Ingres Corp., in Redwood City, Calif. Goldman is CFO of Fortinet.
