* DAVID S. COHEN was promoted to Chief Operating Officer for Sterling Testing Systems Inc., Cortlandt Manor, N.Y. Sterling is a provider of Web-based preemployment screening.

* MICHAEL J. FARRELL (Fort Worth Chapter) has joined CellStar Corp., of Carrollton, Texas, as Executive Vice President of Finance, Treasurer and Chief Administrative Officer. CellStar is a provider of logistics and distribution services to the wireless communications industry.

* JEFFREY FASOLDT, CPA (Rochester Chapter), was named to the Rochester Business Journal's 2005 Forty Under 40 List. Fasoldt is Vice President and CFO of Toshiba Business Solutions--New York. He serves as Membership Director for the Rochester Chapter.

* CHARLES HOLLEY (Dallas Chapter) was named Senior Vice President of Finance, and will oversee investor relations for Wal-Mart Stores Inc. of Bentonville, Ark. Wal-Mart operates in the U.S. as well as about 14 other countries.
