Murphy to deliver NJIT commencement address.

Gov. Phil Murphy will deliver the New Jersey Institute of Technology's 2019 Commencement address, and receive an honorary doctor of Humane Letters, the university recently announced.

NJIT will award more than 3,000 degrees at its 103rd Commencement exercises on May 21 and May 23 at the Prudential Center and at NJIT'S Wellness and Events Center, respectively, both in Newark.

In addition to Murphy, Gilead Sciences Senior Vice President of Access Operations and Emerging Markets Clifford Samuel '88 and Amazon Web Services Vice President of Windows and Enterprise Workloads Sandra Carter will also receive honorary degrees. Samuel and Carter will both be recognized as honorary doctors of Science.
