Movaris Inc. has brought out Movaris Certainty[TM] 6.5, an updated version of its Sarbanes-Oxley compliance software. The Campbell, Calif.-based company claims that the new features streamline the required monitoring and evaluation requirements, while driving down total compliance costs.

Movaris has focused particularly on compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Sections 302 and 404, which deal with certification of financial statements and attestation about internal controls, respectively. The firm says the latest release allows companies to:

* Automate compliance scoring

* Facilitate and capture collaboration and peer consultation

* Configure the control structure to match the standards and practices of each organization

* Use important new reporting features.

Movaris Certainty originally shipped with more than 50 predefined reports built on Crystal Decisions' Crystal Reports. Certainty 6.5 adds more Crystal Report definitions, as well as cross-platform support enabling Crystal Reports to run on such databases as Microsoft SQL, Oracle and DB2. These reports provide executive dashboards with real-time compliance status and disclosure issues.
