In the March 2006 issue of State Legislatures magazine, you write that Washington is the first state to offer podcasts of legislative floor sessions and committee meetings. This might not be true.

The article didn't say when Washington began podcasting, but the Minnesota House of Representatives has offered podcasts of all House committee meetings since the end of our 2005 legislative session. We went "official" with it in January.

In addition, the Minnesota House and Senate both offer:

* Streaming audio and video archives of committee meetings, floor sessions and select press conferences and special events.

* RSS feeds for individual House member news.

* Electronic individualized bill tracking.
