Partner's 2013 top-10 IT trends is an evolution of items from previous years, Gartner Fellow David Cearley told PCweek.com's Michael Miller. Many of these issues have moved slower than expected, Cearley observed, but they still have the highest potential for significantly affecting enterprises over the next three years.

Mobile devices, mobile apps and HTML5, cloud computing, Internet of Things, and big data top the list for 2013. Their placement on the list may have changed from last year, but the only new trend is personal cloud computing.
