Minnesota Chapter hosts President's Seminar.

Even though the weather was sunny and warm in Minneapolis, more than 500 in-house tax practitioners from the Twin Cities and surrounding areas stayed inside on April 24 and 25 to participate in the 29th Annual Minnesota Chapter President's Seminar. The chapter estimates this amounted to more than half of the in-house tax community in the area. The tax executives who attended this great event at the Minneapolis Convention Center were treated to a lineup of outstanding speakers presenting on topics covering international, federal, and state tax issues. The event featured a vendor show allowing conference participants to mingle with representatives from professional service, software, and publishing firms.

"The members of the Minnesota Chapter really outdid themselves putting this event together," said Daniel B. De Jong, TEI Tax Counsel, who attended the seminar as a representative of the Institute's staff. "The high attendance is undeniably due to the chapter's assembling a top-notch cast of speakers in a convenient location for at great price. The President's Seminar stands as a testament to the dedication of and hard work by the Minnesota Chapter's leadership."

In addition to the educational sessions, lunch on the second day of the conference included presentations of two prestigious and well-deserved awards.
