I'm sure that our grandchildren will much more appreciate the beautiful city of Denver with its 4 million people, and who knows how many new malls, than to see the lifeline of the West, the Colorado River, with water and fish flowing in it. That would be so boring. Material goods are our religion, our life. Forget nature, maybe there will be consequences for choking off our riparian areas, but maybe not. Let's go for the money and take the chance. The mentality of "growth for growth's sake" lives on in Colorado.
