Menendez, Booker unveil $5M to support community health centers in 3 counties.

U.S. Sens. Bob Menendez and Cory Booker, both Democrats, announced on Wednesday the awarding of $4,959,063 in federal funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to support North Hudson Community Action Corp., a Federally Qualified Health Center with locations in Bergen, Passaic and Hudson counties.

"For decades, North Hudson Community Action Corp. has been committed to providing high-quality and affordable health care services to their patients," said Menendez, a senior member of the Senate Finance Committee which sets national health policy. "From primary and preventive care, to dental and reproductive health, NHCAC ensures that the health care needs of the families they serve are met. This funding will allow them to continue their mission of providing exceptional health care services to hundreds of thousands of New Jerseyans."

"Far too many communities in New Jersey face great obstacles when seeking adequate health care," said Booker. "This crucial federal funding ensures community health centers, like North Hudson Community Action Corporation, have the resources needed to continue to provide necessary health care services to thousands of New Jerseyans."
