Barbara C. Haslam

Barbara C. Haslam, 91, died at Nye Legacy on October 7, 2018. She was born in Casper, Wyoming, July 6, 1927, graduating from Natrona County High School in Casper in 1945. She attended the University of Nebraska undergraduate and College of Law earning a Juris Doctorate in 1951. She was admitted to the Wyoming and Nebraska State Bar Associations in 1950 and 1951 respectively.

On January 29, 1951, Barbara Cypreansen married Fremont native John A. Haslam in Omaha. In 1976, she attended the National Judicial College and was appointed Dodge County Associate Judge serving until her retirement in 1986.

"Zip" was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, Pi Beta Phi Alumnae Association, Fremont Golf Club, Priscilla Flower Mission and the Keene Memorial Library Board.

She was preceded by her parents, Clarence G. (Zip) and Lucille Cypreansen. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, John, son Dr. J. Matthew Haslam (wife Darcy) of Scottsbluff, and a daughter Barbara Hartmann of Omaha, and four grandchildren, George and Samuel Hartmann and Dr. Roxanne Haslam her husband Dr. John B. Mitchell and John Andrew Haslam.

A memorial has been established to Priscilla Flower Mission and the Keene Memorial Library. Condolences may be let at www.duganchapel. com.
