James H. Barrett
James H. Barrett, 74, died July 24 at his home. Jim was a retired federal public defender, an active member of the Wyoming State Bar and a lifelong resident of Cheyenne.
Jim was born Dec. 3, 1944, in Washington, D.C., to Frank and Harriett Barrett. He married Robyn Joines in 1966. He graduated from Creighton Law School and was admitted to the Wyoming State Bar in 1973. He began his legal career with the Attorney General's Office litigating water rights. Jim went on to become the first federal public defender for the District of Wyoming.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Francis A. Barrett and Harriett Holland Barrett; granddaughter, McKenna Quast; and his brother, Joseph Barrett.
He is survived by his wife, Robyn Barrett; his three children, Lisa Oliver (Brian) of Broomfield, Colo., Amy Martinez (Chad) of Windsor, Colo., and Sean Barrett of Cheyenne; 11 grandchildren, Curran, Cameron, McKailyn and Delaeni Quast, Brennen and Ryan Oliver, Payton and Sloan Martinez, and Piper, Brady and Jagger Barrett; one great-granddaughter, Nora Quast; brothers, Larry, Michael, Francis and Patrick; sisters, Alice Clement and Mary Or-ton; and aunts, Marialyce Barrett Tobin and Phyllis Holland.
Jim was an accomplished criminal defense attorney, who loved to engage in a good debate, especially with his family. He was a devoted father and grandfather, and he enjoyed traveling with Robyn. He was a dedicated individual who enjoyed politics. Jim was passionate about his country and a proud Wyomingite. He was an active and faithful member of St. Mary's Cathedral.

Mary Frances Cadez
Mary Frances (Fran) Cadez, 66, of Cheyenne, Wyoming passed away Thursday, June 27,2019 at Davis Hospice Center.
Fran was born to Frank H. and Eva Cadez, on May 31,1953 in Washington, PA. Fran was the spirited wife of Jeff Fassett and proud mother of Katie "Poff" Poffenbarger.
Fran's intellect and lifelong quest for knowledge were endless. She earned her Bachelor's, Master's, Juris Doctorate, and Master's in Healthcare Administration from Penn State University, University of Kentucky, University of Wyoming, and University of Colorado Denver, respectively.
