Billie Ruth Edwards

Billie Ruth Edwards, 67, of Cheyenne passed away January 5, 2016, at Davis Hospice Center.

Billie was born March 15, 1948, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, a daughter of the late William C. and Ruth A. (VanArsdall) Edwards.

Billie graduated from the University of Wyoming with a bachelors in business management. She also earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Wyoming School of Law.

She practiced law in Cheyenne, forming Edwards & Johnson, Attorneys, LLC in 1980.

She was actively involved with the Wyoming State Bar Association and the Cheyenne Kiwanis Club.

She married Marvin Johnson on May 2, 1981, in Cheyenne.

In her own words, Billie wanted to share the following with her many friends and business associates: "Attitude is gratitude. This passing person is very, very grateful for all the wonderful people in her life. And for all the wonderful things the universe has given her. There isn't enough time, nor enough paper, to thank everyone for the myriad kindness shown to me. I just hope you all know. I am at peace with this. Besides, I will get to see Marv. I hope everyone has as wonderful a life as I have. Live. Laugh. Love."

Billie was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Marvin Johnson; and a sister, Bea Audrey.

Expressions of sympathy in Billies memory may be made to the Cheyenne Kiwanis Club Foundation, P.O. Box 1513, Cheyenne, WY 82003-1513.
