There is a TOTAL disconnect between the mantra "No New Taxes" and "Our roads and bridges are HORRIBLE!" Does it take a catastrophe like the bridge falling down in Minneapolis to get (the state government's) attention as so-called "leaders"?

I am a fourth generation Denverite; my mother, at age 87, was therefore also a native in Colorado. She accurately points out that since roads were first built here, they have NEVER been in worse shape!
