NEW POSITIONS
Rebecca J. Faurot has been appointed by Gov. Laura Kelly as judge of the 25th Judicial District Court. The position was created by the retirement of Judge Wendel Wurst. Faurot is active in the legal community serving on the Kansas Board for Discipline of Attorneys and as a member of the City Attorney's Association of Kansas and the County Counselor's Association of Kansas.
Carl A. Folsom III was sworn in as a district court judge for Douglas County. Folsom previously served as an assistant federal public defender for the District of Kansas and on the board of directors of Lawrence food bank Just Food.
