Why did you become a lawyer?

In high school, I volunteered with a program called Teen Court and absolutely loved it. I was sold on being a lawyer after that experience.

What's the best advice you've ever been given?

Words matter.

What's the worst advice you've ever been given?

To take the first job offered after law school. The firm I interviewed with did not match my values. Thankfully, I didn't follow that advice and found a better fit shortly after declining that offer.

What's your favorite memory from law school?

During law school, I had the privilege of working at the Health Law Clinic, where I handled social security benefit appeals. The gratitude expressed by my clients will forever stay with me.

What's one of the most positive experiences you've had as a lawyer?

This past year, I've taken on the role of chairing the Inclusion and Belonging Committee at my firm, and it has been an incredibly meaningful journey for me. Every month, we dedicate ourselves to curating programs that allow us to celebrate, educate, and wholeheartedly embrace a range of DEI initiatives.
