What's the best advice you've ever been given?

You'll never be prepared for anything and everything that might happen when you walk into a courtroom. Prepare for anything and everything anyway.

What's your favorite memory from law school?

Securing a permanent protection order for a client during my first courtroom experience as a student attorney.

What do you like the most about your practice area?

I am fortunate that I have an opportunity every day to be a voice and a guide for people from all walks of life going through some of the most difficult human experiences they will face. It is harrowing, but often incredibly rewarding.

What's your biggest pet peeve?

Baseline rudeness.

Who's your favorite writer and why?

Ken Follett, a master researcher and storyteller.

What's your favorite place you've traveled to?

The Virgin Islands.

What's the most random job you have ever had?

During undergrad, I managed a veterinary clinic.

I schedule time for family and life, and I make it a priority just like...
