Meet the staff.


We are pleased to welcome and introduce Cyndie Cota, Sergio Espana and Angela Warner.

Cyndie Cota, executive assistant, supports the LWVUS president, Board and executive management at the national office. She provides administrative and logistical support for special events and is the LWVUS representative for the annual Sunshine Week Openness in Government event committee. Cyndie came to the League from the DC Logan Circle Advisory Neighborhood Commission, where she was the executive director; prior to that she was an associate program coordinator for the Delaware Main Street Program, which focused on downtown revitalization. Cyndie has a BA in Anthropology from Tufts University; she is also certified in the Community Health Program.

Sergio Espana joined the staff in August as a specialist in the Global Democracy Program. He assists with the work necessary for the program's smooth operations; he also helps his colleagues in representing the League during official visits. Prior to coming to the League, Sergio interned at Peace Action, one of the largest nonprofit peace organizations. He graduated in December from the...
