Job Responsibilities

Plan and manage NDAA national courses and independent trainings; coordinate with prosecutors and law enforcement nationwide in training and introductions to other DA offices or prosecutors; provide technical assistance to prosecutors, law enforcement, and other professionals through queries from the field; and collaborate with child abuse and juvenile justice organizations and professionals in programming or legislation.

Qualifications

Most recently, prosecuted child sexual and physical abuse cases for DCs Office of the Attorney General (OAG), Juvenile Section. From 2004-2007, represented victims of domestic violence at DC OAG, and from 2001-2004, represented low-income and poor clients for Legal Assistance Foundation of Chicago.

Meeting, working with, and learning from prosecutors from all over the country.

(2) What is your favorite part about working for NDAA?

The blend of independent projects and collaboration.

(3) What are your hopes for the prosecution profession?

That the profession is able to communicate to the public how committed prosecutors are to justice, to safety, to victims, and to fairness.

(4) Where is your hometown?

A small coal-mining town in southern Illinois.

(5) What was the best concert you ever attended?

Speaking from nostalgia, Def Leppard was the first concert for which I stayed out...
