While managing your career is as important as managing your company's resources, it's an area many of us overlook. That's why FEI encourages its members, employed or not, to take advantage of the organization's career services resources and tools.

"We're not an executive search firm, but we do provide networking contacts, teach members how to network and teach them how to manage their careers," says Diane Albergo, FEI's career services manager. Albergo offers telephone consultations with members, to discuss how they can best position themselves, write effective cover letters and identify and promote their marketable skills. She also critiques resumes. And if a member is unemployed, adds Barbara Tokar, member career services administrative assistant, "We give him or her the tools to get started on a job search."

Members who are unemployed and registered with FEI Career Services are entitled to two consecutive years of a reduced national dues rate of $110 per year...
