The recent newcomers are expected to be just the beginning as the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership enters its second year of joint marketing efforts to attract new business to an 11-county area.

"Our two main objectives are to attract new business investment and high-quality jobs that don't exist today and to facilitate economic development capacity," says president and CEO John Sampson of the Fort Wayne-based organization. "We are reaching out to a global marketplace, especially Japan, Germany, United Kingdom, and now we're looking at a China relationship. And we'll go anywhere in the U.S. to find the right companies."
