MARK VARGO (Pennington County, South Dakota).

Mark Vargo is the former State's Attorney for Pennington County, South Dakota. Mark graduated from Princeton University in 1985 and the Georgetown University Law-Center in 1988. After graduating from law school, Mark was hired by Miami-Dade County, Florida as an Assistant State's Attorney until 1992. In 1992, he joined Pennington County, South Dakota as a Deputy State's Attorney until 1995 followed by a year in private practice. Prior to starting his role as State's Attorney in 2013, Mark was an Assistant United States Attorney in the District of South Dakota from 1996 to 2011 and an adjunct professor from 2011 to 2012 at Western Dakota Tech and the National American University.
