As some of the world's greatest athletes prepare to take center stage in Rio de Janeiro, our favorite characters from Nintendo let us get in on the action with Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. Fans can experience the thrill of competing in 17 events, including Rugby Sevens, which is new to the series and is making its debut in the real-life Games this summer.

The Wii U platform fields 34 well-known characters, each with unique attributes, such as speed and power. Mario's team includes Luigi, Peach, and Yoshi, while Sonic has Tails, Amy, and Knuckles, to name a few.
