Marine Corps Commandant Has A Parting Wish.

* Gen. David Berger--in one of his final public appearances as Marine Corps commandant--gave some brief, introductory remarks at the last Modern Day Marine confab, then opened up the talk for a freewheeling 45-minute Q&A session.

One of his wishes for the future: "We don't have the equivalent of a Joint Force design that says, 'This is where the Joint Force needs to be five, six, seven years into the future,'" he said.

"I think what would help would be a common aim point--this is generally where the Joint Force is headed. And then how do we move faster...
