The Manufacturing Division works to support NDIA's educational mission by fostering mutual understanding and effective working relationships between the Defense Department, the military departments and industry to facilitate identifying and resolving manufacturing related issues and matters of common interest to both government and industry.

Composed of industry members from large and small manufacturing companies, the division's focus is on defense manufacturing processes, procedures, technologies, workforce and materials. Specific objectives include: advocate national support for defense manufacturing; promote defense manufacturing excellence; support promising technologies, processes, and implementation methodologies; conduct manufacturing research/study efforts; and conduct government-industry forums focused on defense manufacturing.
