Claim: Obama plans to accept 250,000 refugees from war-torn regions.

Origin: RealNewsRightNow.com

The website reported on August 6 that 250,000 Syrian refugees would be resettled in Arizona and North Dakota, according to "Department of State" spokeswoman Cathy Pieper. PolitiFact noted that this appears to be a hoax site and the State Department has no one by that name.

Who repeated:

Sean Hannity: On October 19, while discussing the refugee crisis in Syria and Iraq, the Fox News host asserted, "The President said he's going to bring 250,000 refugees into this country." The next day, he claimed Obama "has committed to nearly 250,000 coming to America."

Donald Trump: At a televised town hall In New Hampshire on October 26, Trump said the President now "wants to bring in 250,000 people." He added that these quarter-million people "have no papers, no documents" and could constitute "the greatest Trojan horse of all time."

Fact: Obama never called for the U.S. to accept 250,000 refugees from Syria and Iraq.

Donald Trump: When asked by CNN on July 8, 2015, if he has illegal or undocumented workers working on any of his projects, Trump replied: "I can't guarantee it. How can anyone? We have thirty-four million in the country. I used to hear eleven [million], now I hear thirty-four million."
