Program Management Systems Committee forms new group.

* The National Defense Industrial Association's Program Management Systems Committee--in order to broaden the participation and focus of the group to attract more program managers to the committee functions--in February formed a new working group: Program Management Outreach.

The committee is the primary forum for building strong industry and government working relationships to promote integrated program management using earned value management and related processes.

But many participants in the committee have had a heavy focus on earned value management and not on other areas of integrated program management. For example, risk and opportunity management, personnel recruitment and retention, and project management tools.

Representatives from 16 companies have agreed there is a need to broaden the PMSC constituency and focus. As part of the outreach, the working group is looking for government--in addition to industry--participants.
