A new e-mail marketing module, eCast by Protagona Worldwide, permits users to personalize high-volume mailings through coordination with Protagona Producer, (a campaign management program) and the user's own database.

The company says its new eCast module offers "high-performance marketing for high-volume e-mail pieces, at a lower cost than outside vendors."

The module "allows customers to respond immediately and builds an interactive relationship where they can receive customized offerings," says Michael Emerson, Protagona senior vice president for global marketing. "Unlike spam-based systems, eCast respects the customer's privacy, obtaining the customer's permission before mailing." The system lets marketers script their messages based on audience interest and to provide targeted sales messages and incentives.
