Havana's resident master bassist Jorge Machado resurfaces on the international stage with Te Invito a Bailar, leading his own band, Machado y Sus Estrellas. Currently the musical director of the Cuban television band Charanga Habana All Stars, Machado was previously a member of the popular groups Orquesta América, Adalberto y Su Son, and Son 14, with whom he recorded three albums. The veteran Charanguero-native of Camagüey offers a collection of classic standards, from Arsenio Rodriguez's La Cartera (popularized in the free world by Orquesta Harlow in the seventies), to Pedro Aranzola's La Trigueña Encarnación, and Electo Rosell's El Platanal de Bartolo.
