As a working mom for 18 years, Lynn Atchison says time management is a challenge. An early riser to get chores done, she admits to being a terrible housekeeper and says her family often eats on the run. "Something has to go," she says of the limited time. Yet, she adds, she's learned to take care of what's important and to not worry about unimportant details.

FEI Chapter: Member of the Austin Chapter since 1999; have held several leadership positions (currently, in my second year as Chapter President); and I've served on the chapter board for several years.

Leisure: Much time is devoted to following my children's sports. My daughter is in volleyball, soccer and track; my son was a competitive gymnast for about 5 years.

My husband and I use IMovie software (on my Mac computer) to create home movies and DVDs. We shoot video all the time at our kids' sports events, at our condo and on vacation. I love editing the video, and adding music and other transitions to create short movies of the best moments of the events.

Time Management: On the professional side, a key to time management is delegating. If you can develop and encourage the people that work for you, that provides huge leverage.

Stress Management: Getting out of town--particularly to our condo, which is about three hours away, on the Texas Coast. We love to go there and sit on the porch overlooking Arkansas Bay. It's a great place either for solitude and relaxation and also fun with friends.
