Musicians are born everyday. They are born to strum a guitar, belt out a Salsa tune, or compose a stirring song. Texas-born Lynette Brehm is a different kind of musician. As a youngster, Mexican/German-American Lynette wanted to pursue a music career, either through her singing or by playing the guitar and bass. After realizing that it would be difficult making a living as a musician, she decided instead, to pursue her love for music in other forms. She entered the business side of the industry to become another kind of musician: the kind who loves the craft so much that she will find other outlets to cultivate and appreciate it, sans playing a note in front of an audience or signing a record contract. Many songwriters and musicians are now thankful she chose the path she did.

After graduating from Belmont University's Music Business Program, Brehm started working for Arista Records in Nashville, working in the Country music media and public relations department. Although she credits Arista with a tremendous learning curve, she longed to utilize her Spanish speaking skills and work on the Latin side of the music industry. "After working for Arista Records I decided to never take another job where I couldn't speak Spanish or be involved with the Hispanic community," she proclaims. Inflight Entertainment, an independent record label, acquired her talents and she went on to run their Latin music department.
