Q: Mas Ayoob's column the "Stranger Than Fiction" in the April issue created a nagging question for me. Does anyone have a good guess what the velocity and energy the .36-caliber ball would have after 75 yards fired from the 1851 Navy Colt?

It appears the old pistols carried more power than I had imagined from other stories of the Old West.
