I agree wholeheartedly with Sharon Johnson's article, "Taking Aim at Gun Violence" (February/March issue), in which she exhorts our legislators to support President Biden's efforts to rein in gun rights organizations such as Gun Owners of America, the National Association for Gun Rights, and of course the NRA, all of which wield so much power here in the United States.

Let's do our best to support President Biden in his quest to defang the NRA, which the Southern novelist William Styron called "one of the most evil organizations to exist in any nation, past or present.' We must insist that our government rid us of the poison that's being fed to us by the NRA, and demand that our schools explain the exact meaning of the Second Amendment to their students. Only then...
